Okay.. The bell of my clarinet won't come off.. It's stuck, and just does not want to come off. Considering it's Sat night, and music stores arn't open Sunday or Monday, what do I have to do 'unstuck' it ? Help !
Laur
Ps ~ It's a wood clarinet

Wait 'til Tuesday! If you haven't been successful by now, it's better to let someone (a tech), who knows how, do it for you at your first opportunity. There is a certain technique to undoing stuck joints that's hard to explain in writing. Let an experienced person do it and, if possible, show you how before you try it yourself next time.
A skilled tech will charge you, if at all, very little.
You, on the other hand, may run up a large repair bill.
Tuesday's not that far away.

If it just now became stuck, you might wait for a weather change since wood shrinks and swells a bit with the humidity.

find someone stronger then you. As ron said you can windup bending key in that area.

I found a repair guy that was open on Sat. It looked like a crack started tho. :( I'm hoping, it's just a stress fracture, or a hairline crack.. I mean. No crack is good, but i guess something minor is better then something major. I don't know when i'm getting my horn back, but I hope it all works out. It boggles my mind though - last night the weather was great. No humidity or anything - I dont' know.
Hope for the best.

Bummer. Is this a new instrument, or recently overhauled? If someone sold you an instrument that was set up to be too tight, or re-corked it with cork that was too thick, you may have some warranty protection on this crack. Good luck.

I find that my Selmer 10 gets tight once in a while if I just let it sit to long after playing. i was going to have some of the cork removed but it seems to have worked it self out. Try a little more wax.
