No, I didn't find any Martin Lig patents [via cited-reference searching], so I conclude that, if patented, was prob. a FR pat, will look in the Canadian pats, where it might also have been filed. I recalled that I have an OLD Martin bari sax mp which has "Martin, Hand craft, Elkhart Ind " on a shield on its back. The [large] lig has, on its back, PAGE NY, and is a "pressure plate" type with a large thumb-screw for tightening, just like my H&A Selmer Paris Bb sop lig, which I believe has an [expired] US pat, will post # if asked.
