I need some advice. It is time for some basic refurbishing on my clarinet. I live in northeast Ohio, near Cleveland. Any recommendations regarding a competent technician?
Thanks

Tim Clark is right outside of Columbus and I can say withouth a shadow of a doubt that he is one of the if not the technician out there.

Check with music departments of local colleges to see who works on their clarinets. Cleveland Institute, Baldwin Wallace, Kent State, etc.

On the eastside, Tim Burdick of Woodwind Workshop is used by alot of prominent players. On the westside, Gary Byndas does great work.

Check out J.B. Salter at Presque Isle Woodwind & Brass in Erie, Pa. An excellent repair guy and an excellent clarinet player.

I had Gary Byndas set up my instrument for me when I was a student at Baldwin-Wallace. Superb work...I wish I knew someone as proficient here in Pittsburgh. Last I knew, he was also doing repairwork at Educators Music in Lakewood...give that store a call...they might be able to help
