 Clarinet Information

I bought a Bb clarinet from a pawn shop about 5 years ago. it is a Buescher 400 special. I was wondering about this brand of clarinet, how old it is, etc. According to the serial number chart (if i am reading it correctly), it was made in the 1920's. Anyinformation would be appreciated.

This Buescher model was made after Buescher was taken over by the Selmer Co back in the early '60s. The "Special" usually notated a wood body with a resonite (plastic) barrel and bell, supposedly to keep costs down. The exact clarinet could also be bought as a Signet Special (with the Selmer Co. label)
