OK...it's not related to clarinets at all, except for the fact that I give thanks that I play the instrument, that my daughter plays it much better, and that it has opened up worlds of friends and great experiences to me.
Still, I wanted to wish all my friends and acquaintances here on the Clarinet board a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday. If you are traveling this weekend, I wish you a safe trip, too. Enjoy the holidsy with the ones you love. Have some nice clarinet music playing in the background, too!
Thanks especially to some of the folks around here: Mark and GBK, Gary van Cott, Walter Grabner, and Morrie Backun and Doc. Omar Henderson, who have answered many of my questions and/or provided me with great products over the past couple of years. You have all been a tremendous help to me. Thank you all so much!
Jeff

Nice sentiment of course, but Thanksgiving is celebrated only in the USA.

Not so, ned. We Canadians celebrated our Thanksgiving back on October 8!
So I will take this opportunity to wish all the American BB'ers a Happy Thanksgiving.

I realize that Thanksgiving is a New World thing. However, that doesn't mean that you folks on the other side of the world can't be thankful for things, too.
We just take out an extra day to celebrate it, that's all.
I actually made mention of the Canadian holiday, too, when I made a similar post on a Photo BBS I moderate. Living only 20 minutes or so from Ontario (Windsor, via the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel or the Ambassador Bridge), I am more aware of Canada and its customs than the bulk of Yankees.
