My Kohlert A clar. plays very well in tune, mellow sound, wish I might need it more often! I have several semi-antique cl's and oboes, they have held up well, really dont know about their playing tho. Don

I've restored a couple of Kohlert b-flat clarinets, both were well-built and played very well. I currently have (for sale) a Kohlert bass clarinet which has been my primary player for the last 4 months, it is also a very good instrument. Kohlert bassoons (now made by Moosman) used to be considered the second choice after Heckel among many bassoonists.

Older Kohlerts I've played have, as stated above, all been good horns well constructed of good material.
