Dieter Klocker

I am just curious as to whether Klocker is still performing or even recording these days. I have searched on the internet and cannot find any clear information, so if someone knows, please say.

Since no one else had replied to your msg, I did a quick scan of the Arkivmusic.com site, as a challenge. Although recording dates may imply a certain lag time, Kloecker seems to be active still. In 2006 he released a Kozeluch album, and early this year he did Kalliwoda. Working backwards through the alphabet, you may ask? Nay, fie upon thee, in May he released Der Hirt auf dem Felsen with Helen Donath.
I think Kloecker would be more prolific if he weren't working his way with a kerosene lamp, pick and rock hammer through every church basement in the Holy Roman Empire...

Thanks for that. I think the Shepherd recording must be his 1980s recording, unless all three musicians decided to re-record it 20 years later, which I very much doubt. My guess is that he might be in his late sixties. No age really, but he may be in the process of hanging up his boots.
