Has anyone played these ligatures from Japan? Any comments or reviews? How do they compare to other ligatures? I see that they are available in different platings. Any comments on the qualities of each?

They are nicely made, but fairly heavy.
I had a shiney gold one.
The matte gold actually costs more (reason?)
They are like a heftier verson of an inverted Bonade.
Well crafted, but, frankly, I favor lighter weight metal. It is a matter of personal preference.
I believe Robertos sells them.

I have the shiny gold one and find it a perfectly designed version of the inverted Bonade. It is very sturdy and you won't have to bend it to get it to work. Interestingly, I find the placement to be critical. It sounds much better positioned high, with the top edge just below the line of ligature on the mouthpiece.
The sound I get is very strong and it performs right up there with the Leather Vandoren and the Eddie Daniels.
