I think you are talking about the ones by Orpheus which are, afaik, designed by Steve Goodson (and others with him I think) and are made somewhere in Asia (he isn't clear about where their instruments are made, but he said their saxophones come from several countries). According to him (Goodson) they are not like the many bad Asian (Chinese) cheap instruments but of course he is making and selling them.... I've never tried one.

THere are a number of retailers listed on the link clarnibass provided. You might want to give one of them a call and ask what their honest opinion of the horns is. Also check with their instrument technicians as to how difficult they are to adjust and repair.

From the site, they are made of hard rubber, similar to Tom Ridenour's Lyriques. They cost more than Tom's horns do, and Tom's have an excellent reputation. Considering you can get a Lyrique Custom for $975, as opposed to $1300 for the Orpheo Pro model, I would want to know why this one costs more, and whether it is worth it.
