"Backstage, the solo clarinetist Sabine Meyer, known for being nervous before concerts but calm on stage, fretted about her reeds" NYT 9/30/07, (at a Lucerne Festival Orchestra rehearsal. )

Nervous before a concert and "fretting" about reeds?? Sound quite normal to me.........

BTW--some time ago, I recall reading that Sabine's reeds were being made by her clarinetist brother and are not the "off the shelf" varieties that most of us have to cope with.
