i accidentally poked my cork pad when trying to adjust the seating of it. is there any way to fix the cork pad without replacing it?

Depends what you mean by "poked". If the pad is (or looks) intact, you may want to heat the cup and see if it's getting better after re-seating. If it is broken, have it replaced.
A short-term fix (that usually works fine) for broken stuff is plain old white glue - don't use too much of it, and be aware that you have 'nuff time to seat the parts perfectly.

If the chunk was part of the pad seat then you need a new pad. They are cheap at Ferree's Tools.
If the pad is non-essential (side trill key) then put some tape over the hole while you wait for your new pads to come.
One good rule of repair. Don't change anything if you don't have a replacement on hand.
