 Auguste Buffet serial number

Hi Everyone. I have an old Auguste Buffet clarinet with an articulated G# key with the serial #7726C and I was wondering if anyone knows how to find out how old it is? I have tried the archives on the search button, but it hasn't helped me at all. Thanks for any help.

Acquired from COUGH eBay COUGH? How does she play? I wanted her, but slept through the bidding.

Vytas Krass has some experience with these Aug. Buffets. He may be able to help.

I bought a clarinet for the Lelandais mouthpiece that was with it. It was an August Buffet with the articulated G#. I felt so sad because the instrument had been allowed to dry out until it was at a state just before potting soil. Incredibly, someone in central Europe purchased it from me.

Bill.
