I got some of those studies too from my teacher and it strikes me that only rarely they go down below B. It's like they were written for sax and little effort was made to transcribe them for clarinet. Which is a pity in my opinion as I like the low notes on clarinet so much. But they're still nice studies!

Anyway, now I play them on my low C contra an octave down, so the lack of low notes is an issue no more for me. :-)
