Any suggestions for cd's for listening and to play along with for a clarinetist returning after over 30 years? The selection out there seems daunting and any help in whittling the options down to a management number would be most appreciated.

I'll probably get flamed for my suggestion...:
Emma Johnson's "Encores 2" contains a number of reasonably simple tracks that don't just let you shudder and think "I'll never be able to play a piece like this", eg Satie's Gymnopédies are a no-brainer to play along.
Minimal setup - just piano and clarinet. Technically solid re articulation and tone.

Both Satie's Gym and Gno are sleepers IMO ....just like playing long notes....apparently easy. I play all regularly, and like Emma's playing too.
Stoltzman has a book of pieces also and I think there's a cd to go with it.

Look at the Dowani International Tre-Tempi collection. Amongst their clarinet stuff: a lovely work-up of the Mozart A-Major clarinet concerto played in Bb! The 2nd movement tuttis are wonderful!

It would help to know what sort of standard you are and what styles interest you.
There have been good suggestions for fairly "serious" classical works, but some of my students have a bit of a blast with popular-style books with demo and play-along CD. "Gershwin by Special Arrangement" for example, published by Hal Leonard, might get you back on your fingers.

I'm more interested in what is readily available in reasonably simple recordings than in any particular style. Jazz doesn't have too much appeal but otherwise I'm open to suggestion. Any idea are appreciated.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Just the experience of asking a question can be educational. I finally stumbled into the play-along section of Sheet Music Plus. I think to listen I'll start working my way through whatever cd's the public library has. Bound to be some good pieces there.
