Am intrigued with hard rubber clarinet idea for a backup/beater etc. What think of the Gigliotti H2 ? it's a lot cheaper than the Ridenour but maybe you get what you pay for; what think? thanks

I just saw this thread - wouldn't give that clarinet the time of day. The person who licensed Tony Gigliotti's name has come out with "special products" such as colored mouthpieces in red, blue, etc.

Only new product that I have tried with his name on it that was good was the Gigliotti Reeds.

They are quite good! The Clarinet would (my guess) be just another P.O.S. Clarinet from China.

I'm not a fan of the hard rubber clarinet as I don't like their tone. I like my sound, a lot actually, but not on the rubber clarinets that I have ever played.

Then again, Ricardo doesn't sound as good on a Buffet as he does on his Selmers. Everybody's got their own thing - some like the hard rubber clarinets as a material.
