Has anyone here played these older model Leblancs ?

Are they large bore instruments ?

Any thoughts , for or against ?

Thanks in advance .

Hi again, Irv - You rang my bell here also! I love my L7. While I haven't tried many of the newer pro cl's, the "familiar shoe" concept and my age are telling me to keep shopping-around to a minimum. Some of the L7 spec's were on the BB some time ago, search for them. Believe the "nominal" bore was 14.85 mm and polycylindrical. The "pinch"Bb is very good, and, for me, only a few notes need "favoring".I also have had a LeB L70 [predecessor], much the same, not quite so good a player. Have never seen an L6. Believe the L 10 and L 2000 are much the same. Hope others will "cadenza" in with their feelings, also consult Tom Ridenour, who, I believe, designed-constructed them. Don
