I have an AKAI EWI 4000s which gives me hours of fun.
I wonder if anyone out there has one and, if so, what do you use for a case? It won't quite fit into a soprano sax soft case, I tried an expanding document holder but can't find one wide enough (the sling-hook is huge)
At the moment I have to carry it wrapped in a towel in a badminton bag which definitely looks uncool.
Help!

There is a windcontroler group at Yahoo that is the best source for every thing wind synth. If you don't know about Patchman music, google them for web site. Tons of info as well as great after market sounds for modules and the 4000s. I play the wx5 and it has a dedicated case. But I have seen 4000s cases made from PVC pipe, heavey but you can run a truck over it, and some gun cases that were the right lenth. I did alot of wind synth playing at the Backun bash in Vancouver last week. windsynths are a blast to play and will really kick your clarinet technique up a few notches once you get good on it.

I use a Reunion Blues soprano saxophone gig bag for my 4000s. It works just great.

BAM France makes a little sidecar tube case called the Hip Hop that ties to their trekking sax cases for clarinet or soprano. Not a bad solution.
