I recently obtained a nice Boosey and Hawkes Imperial Bb clarinet but I wish to purchase a bteter mouthpiece. The replacement one I have is a terrible! I want to get something decent enough and have a budget of about £100. However, as an intermediate player with little knowhow, I have no idea what to get, or even when to start. If you could give me some suggestions, I would be very grateful!

A good start would be a Vandoren 5RV Lyre which is around £60.
On top of that, you can get a Rovner fabric ligature and a box of reeds and still have change from 100 quid.

Many years ago I played on a Boosey +Hawkes instrument. When I tried normal Vandoren or Selmer mouthpieces the intonation didn't seem to work.
Peter Eaton mouthpieces(especially those designed for his Elite) may work as the bore is wide similar to a 10-10.
I am assuming the Imperial has a similar bore to the 10-10 and that the bore of the mouthpiece should match the bore of the instrument. Others may argue these points.

B&H Imperial 926 clarinets (and below) all have a 14.9mm bore, and only their 1010 has the large 15.2mm bore.
