Thanks to the info on this bboard, I knew I wanted to visit Yamaha at Ginza, but I really didn't have much hope, as it was a family trip.
But!! fortunately I made it... though a 30-min super-rapid tour.:)
One more clarification is that the Yamaha building was actually on Yurakucho avenue, right above the subway station.
It was a dreamland for musicians in general and clarinet players in particular. I wish I could visit it in the future.
Ishimori was also highly recommended by many bboarders, but I couldn't make it.

Sounds fun. I'm visiting Japan next month for the first time, but will be with a guided tour group and probably will not have the oppurtunity to make the stop there.

But we did experience the Tokyo rush hour (though a couple of stations, thank goodness) on our way back to hotel..
