Suggestions for tempo for Rose #13 anyone?
Yes, I realize that I should play it whatever tempo the 32nds and whatnot come out evenly and cleanly. But does anyone have a tempo that they feel the etude was really meant for? I'm at odds with myself about it. Adagio non troppo. Hmph.

Looking at it now, singing it in my head, I guess I'd take it around 60. (This is from the 32 Etudes, right?) I'd have trouble making it worth a slower tempo - it'd just die. Much faster and the nocturnish character of the thing would change to something else and wierd.

I prefer it played at an opening tempo of about 54.
However, lots of give and take with the tempo according to each phrase... GBK

Yeah, I figured someone would say that too :-)
