"... Bain was part of a group that agreed last week to buy Home Depot Inc.'s contractor-supply unit for $10.3 billion, and has also invested in retailers Toys ``R'' Us Inc. and Michaels Stores Inc...."
Hmmm...the next time I go to Home Depot to pick up some lumber and plumbing supplies, perhaps I'll also bring my mouthpiece and try out a few R-13's...GBK

Soon we will have two-tiers for everything.
Boutique and Big Box
As for capital partnerships buying everything, I am reminded of a quote:
"I have no idea what I am doing, but incompetence has never prevented me from plunging in with enthusiasm."

When you think about it, reeds are just very small pieces of lumber, and an R-13 is just a fancy piece of pipe. It all makes sense.

So, hey, speaking of buy-outs, has anyone had experience with purchasing instruments at woodwind and brasswind since their buy-out? It was a nightmare around the time they declared bankruptsy. I had all kinds of trouble getting a credit back on my card.
