I was lucky enough to be in my car just now when Todd Cope played Rossini's Introduction, Theme and Variations from "Lady of the Lake" on Public Radio's Performance Today. It is a terrific performance by a young clarinetist.

It SURE was, glad I was "messing around" on the 'net with my stereo ON, gosh, wish I could even play it [poorly]. An "up-and-coming cl'ist ? Don

I heard this performance in Santa Barbara last year. As a ambitious high school clarinetist, hearing this performance was inspirational. Todd Cope studies with Richie Hawley at CCM in Cincinnati. After hearing Todd perform, I am going to make CCM one of my choices for undergrad schools for clarinet performance. Does anyone know if Hawley accepts many undergrads?
