What are the clarinet parts like for this (are they fairly straightforward or are there some awkward bits), and do I need both A and Bb as well (although I'll have both with me anyway)?

Chris,
I played eight movements (1/4/6/7/8/10/12/13) in March this year as an amateur in an orchestra with professionals. There were no difficulties except one: There are a couple of bars in "Better is Peace" which are tricky and which are repeated several times during that movement.
As I haven't got the music anymore I can't tell you the exact number of bars or the values of the notes. All the woodwind parts play the same rhythm (lot of notes on one beat) and even some of the professionals had to cheat to get through it. (If you've got a recording it comes up for the first time at about 2:16 of that movement)
I had to use just the Bb-clarinet but there could be movement for A.
I loved to play that piece of music and I hope you're going to enjoy it as well.

I was sent the bass clarinet and cor anglais parts last time I was asked to do this several years back with a local amateur orchestra which I had reservations about playing for - but fortunately for me a paid gig came in on the same day and I depped this out to someone else (who wasn't exactly pleased with me afterwards - though he is playing bass clarinet this time round!).
This time it's with a scratch orchestra (and a respectable choir) and should be much better (both in terms of musicianship and organisation) - the players I do know that are doing this are certainly among the best in the area and I'm glad to be working with them.

As well as the Renaissance tune 'l'Homme Armee', there's a movement (the last?) with the Last Post with eerie and conflicting chords going on underneath.
I hope they do the Last Post on bugle rather than trumpet.
Ok, I picked up the 2nd clarinet part earlier this evening, and there's some pretty fiendish-looking stuff going on in the last 9or thereabouts) movement. I'm just about to have a play through it (yeah I know it's late!) to see what I make of it.
Fortunately the metronome markings are on there, so at least I know what speeds it'll go at.

It's pretty fast, but relatively straightforward and pretty much under the fingers, so just some practice and I'll have it sussed.
The last movement is the one with the 'l'Homme Armee' tune in it, and the 2nd clarinet is doing a sort of Irish jig where the use of the upper trill key for a B natural and articulated C#/G# come in very handy (if only I had the articuated C# as on full Mazzeos to make the B-C# easier over the break).
