Sure, many do that, "real" players or otherwise. Because what are the alternatives? Saying no to a friend, colleague, or acquaintance, and thus causing a scene, embarrassment and a degree of discomfort to all? It's all about social norms; when in Romeā¦ There are risks that one must take to remain accepted in the social circle of his choice, we all do it, but it doesn't mean that deep inside, the person doesn't know any better. We just cross our fingers, say a quick prayer, and carry on.
