I want to buy a bass clarinet. Here in France, the Buffet 1180, semi professional is aroun US $ 3.200, and the Leblanc Sprit 160S and Noblet 60N are a little less. All range to low Eb and are wooden intermediate levels. But I found that the professional Ripamonti ranging to low Eb is cheaper than the others. I'll travel to Italy next week, but I don't know the brand.
I'd seen the forum and there is nothing about.
Any advices?

Earlier, I inquired about them and a kind person suggested an internet search, which I made via Yahoo, asking for "Ripamonti clarinet". It found several sites, I looked at the first entitled Rip. List Production which showed the availability of pro insts as well as others, which may help you. Will pursue this later for my own interest. Luck, Don

Javier--I am very interested in the Ripamonti line of clarinets but all I know about them is what's on their web site. I have an e-mail in to them asking for price info., brochures, catalogues, etc., but have received nothing yet. If I can get some info. on this company I'll post it on the bulletin board. Meanwhile, if you try out and maybe purchase one of their instruments I'd be very interested in reading your impressions here on the bulletin board.
