I have an old Albert system clarinet that is pitched in C. I'm trying to find out more information on it, I have owned it fsince about 1967 and originally bought it to make into a lamp but when my draft notice came it got put aside and forgotten about until recently when I retired and started digging out all of my old boyhood things (which also includes a Simple 8 key flute and a C-melody soprano, which are both currently being overhauled)
Anyway like I said, the clarinet is pitched in C (stamped on t bell, both body sections and the barrel). It is in good condition and needs repadding but played pretty well when I first got it. There is no manufacturer's stamp anywhere that I can find. I date it as post civil war or WW I it is in a case that is meant to be either hand carried or worn on a belt loop.
Anything that anyone that can tell me anything about it would be appreciated. I can supply photographs if anyone is interested.

If you do orchestra playing, getting a C axe into playing condition is a good investment. If you're not a sight-transposer, you'll be able to play the part until you can get the transposition worked out.
