I am working on several Goodman pieces, and would like to try to learn the original arrangements. Does anyone know if scores are available for the following pieces?
Lets Dance, Stompin at the Savoy, Moonglow, Sing, Sing, Sing
I am most interested in Lets Dance.
Thanks,
J.E.F.

Yale University has the library of all of Benny's music. One of the places that you can get Savoy and Sing, Sing, Sing is in the collection on Original Big Band Sounds. These are Transcriptions of the original charts by Jeff Hest.

If you search on the JW Pepper site you will find the collection. The clarinet parts are in the Bari sax book. He has Benny's solos transcribed from the original recordings.

Just a clarification-- I found the bari sax book at J.W. Pepper - Are you saying that the clarinet part is in this book and is written in the proper key for b flat clarinet? Why is the clarinet part in the sax book? Thanks for the info.

Yes, the clarinet part is in the bari book, for clarinet. They may be written that way since some of those charts do not have bari parts, but have two tenors and two altos, so they just put the clarinet part into that book.

good information. There's a JW Pepper near my house too.
I have an old book (looks new) that I bought in 1980ish that is "Benny Goodman" 30 important solos. A pretty neat book just no complete score, just the transcribed solos, and style information, etc. by Stan Ayeroff
