Hi, does anyone know anything about the Buffet Summer Academy going on (I think) in August in Florida? Has anyone else applied or thought of applying? Has anyone ever been to one of these before? Is it worth it?

My daughter wants to attend, but she isn't 18 yet, so that disqulifies her. Maybe a s a gift for hwer 18th birtday, we'll head south for a few days in the summr. Her birthday is right around that time.

One of my students was accepted to the Academy.
I spoke to both Mark Nuccio and Pascual Martinez about it and it definitely seems like a very worthwhile week. You are talking about spending intensive time with 5 of the top names in the business. That kind of close contact alone is invaluable and very hard to come by. As I understand it the total student body is limited to 20, so nobody gets lost in the crowd. The audition period may be closed out at this point, but there is still the option of auditing the program by the day.

It is interesting to note that under search for dealers the Buffet site search buttons state search by state for Canada!!! Guest they don't understand that Canada has provinces.

The Academy was a great experience! I have pictures up on Facebook, but the Buffet site also has some pictures for people interested!
