One thing to remain aware of. If this is indeed a stencil horn, they made have had several different manufacturers. So someone else's "Robert" clarinet may be quite different from yours.

For example, Carl Fisher contracted with both Buffet and Prueffer to build instruments with the "Carl Fisher" stencil.

Don, I suspect the similar of the 'Robert' last name to the 'Robert' first name in Malerne is coincidence. This is a very common name in French, both as a first and as a last name.
