I had what seemed to be a good idea, and on further thought it seemed such a good idea that someone must have done it already, but I've never heard of it: a field guide to clarinets. A book or a web site with pictures and text to aid in identifying clarinets -- distinguishing different models, or different years of the same model, or (where my thought originally came from) to determine manufacturers of stencil instruments.
Does such a thing exist?

A useful site, but not what I meant; it shows examples of different sizes/types of clarinets, rather than details of differences between various makes and models. Steve's site aims to be pretty much what I had in mind, though I'd like to see more pictures of keywork differences, etc. -- and of course lots more information could be added (if people send it to him).

I have a ton more information & pics on my computer. Sooner or later it will all migrate to that page (or many pages by then). So much info, and so little time. I have Alot of pics not on that site that i've taken from repair work i've done.
Some info, like the Selmer USA stuff from aficionado's of that brand/model.
