I play in a community church orchestra (members made up of people from different area churches), and we play during the warmer months outside at a park--both sacred and secular pieces. We always have an offering taken, and someone (or a small group) doing an offertory. Last year we clarinets did "The Entertainer". I'm wondering if this year we could do something else.
There are four of us clarinets. Does anybody here have any book titles (or individual piece titles) of easy to intermediate arrangements of folk or Klezmer music? I did a quick search, but couldn't find anything--I was probably plugging in the wrong keywords.
(I did post this topic on "The Ethnic Clarinet" bulletin board).
Thanks,
Ann

'Fraid I can't help with your search, but I can sure sympathize - I'm terrified at the prospect of playing in public.
(See your second line..... ;-)

What about early jazz (close to folk and Klez)?
I've bought music from this site (standard disclaimer...I'm not affiliated, etc.):

Some good choices might be:
-Bill Bailey
-Just a Closer Walk With Thee
-Some of These Days
