well s/he apparently is meticulously and likes a nice clean looking instrument. But using a polishing cloth all the time is not recommended. Just a plain cloth (like old tshirt) to cleanup water/oil from the body after playing. And a polishing cloth from time to time to keep it nice and shiny (i like mine shiny too).
