help finding used clarinet

I'm actually a trumpet player (but I'm woodwind friendly!!) but I have a dear old friend who is a former clarinet player. We went to high school together and she was quite a player, sitting first chair for three years out of two rows of clarinet players. Anyway, her rented clarinet got repossessed and she ended up having to give up playing all together. Now, some 10 years later, she sort of mentioned wanting to take it up again in passing. I thought it might be a nice surprise if I were to find her a decent quality student/intermediate horn just to get her back in the ranks. I can't afford much, but I see that there are a good many horns that go for around $50 more or less on ebay (not counting the imports--enough trumpet shopping has taught me to steer clear of those!). All I know to look for is little pad wear, no cracks and decent corks. Otherwise, I have no idea what I'm doing or what will need to be included with it. I would love any information anyone could give me of a decent brand name, some specs to be aware of, and accessories that must be included. Like I said, this doesn't have to be a real keeper, just playable. It'll be the first instrument she's ever owned herself, so I know she'll be proud of whatever. Later, after she gets back into the game, if she wants to upgrade the horn herself, she can. Thanks!
