Sour Cream and Other Delights looks like a parody of Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass' Whipped Cream and Other Delights. Anyone remember that? I once owned...get this...the REEL TO REEL of that!

Oh yeah I just checked your post there, now. And like I said, I had it on reel to reel. Brings back memories And seriously, Herb Alpert's stuff help stimulate my interest in jazz (even though it really wasn't "pure" jazz). My teacher got me a duet book with some of the tunes they played, like Taste of Honey and The Work Song. Regarding the latter, I never heard of Nat and Cannonball Adderly until many years later, and regarding the former, never heard about the movie until years later, also.

There isn't much shock value left, it appears . . . most of those covers look like they might be scenes from a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" sequel . . . yawn! . . . #45 is Frank Zappa in drag, striking an old pose . . . groan! . . . #30 shows Muscovites dancing to "Song of the Volga River Boatmen" rearranged as a waltz . . . zzzzzzz! . . . unfortunately, when you brouse through the CDs at yon neighborhood music shop, it appears those "worst" are the norm, rather than the exceptions.
