 Brunner/Levin play Les Six--info?
Author: Robert Shapiro
Date:   2000-06-14 03:42

I am on the verge of submitting my manuscript for my book, "A Les Six Companion" for Greenwood Press. There is some recording information that has eluded me but which I would like to include in my upcoming book. Evidently, Eduard Brunner and Robert Levin et al played on a CD that includes pieces by each of Les Six (Auric, Durey, Honegger, Milhaud, Poulenc, and Tailleferre)--possibly on OPUS ca. 1987, or perhaps TUDOR. If anyone could provide the full documentation for this release, then I would be grateful, and, of course, would cite that person in the Acknowledgments. The book, incidentally, is the first comprehensive study of Les Six and will run about 600 pages. I would also, of course, like to acquire at least a copy of the CD in question, if someone might have that information available. Many thanks for considering this request--Robert Shapiro--Tucson, Arizona
