Hi i got a Yamaha 26II for £70 and it sounds fine (i think) on a Cm scale. Are there any known pit falls are querks with this particular model? And how much should i pay for a service?

I have an old Yamaha 24ii and it's amazing value for the money.
Asking about a 'service' will open up a huge can of worms, because the word 'service' means different things to different people.
Dismantling, cleaning, changing pads, tenon cork and minor adjustments are easy to do youself, but I tend to leave spring regulation and any key bending to the professionals.
There was a thread somewhere with a discussion on the definitions of service, overhaul... etc
Do a search on Google and you'll find loads of places in the UK where you can get it checked/repaired.
