I recently browsed through some bargain bins in a music store here and found a score that I thought was rather unusual, so I bought it. It is the "Concerto for Piano, Clarinet, and String Quartet" by Roy Harris. I had never heard of the piece and I've been busy creating the individual parts from the score.
Has anyone here played it or heard it performed? Have I discovered a little gem, or, a piece that is quite rightly not so well known?

Yes, this is quite a fine piece. I have not done it yet, but it is high on my list. The parts are available, but only by rental. This may be one of the reasons why it is neglected. I made a digitized copy of the LP a while back. Let me know if you want it.
