I know there is no serial search option on Malerne clarinet manufactor year
but there might be someone that has a near serial or so ??? .
My parents bought me my first clarinet for about 35 years ago
I still have it and the serial is: 03642, there is a four star logo as well ...
I will appreciate if anybody can help me on this .......

Malerne Professional (4-star), purchased in 1956 or 57 (I think through the Sears catalog) -- D32xx.

Thank you Jack!, 56 or 57 seemes to be very early i've guess 1965 + or so....
because they said is was purchased 1971 or 72 and the local shop said it was
about 5 years old ?.

I agree. 'It's in good condition,' usually means, 'it and most of its parts are present in this room'. 'It's in very good condition' means, 'it and ALL of its parts are present in this room'.

First of all, I need to correct myself. My Malerne was purchased in 1955. Rampant speculation: Perhaps the leading 0 on yours is a letter rather than a number. Assuming the letter changes each year, O - D = 11 years? 1954 or 55 + 11 = 1965 or 66 -- consistent with your date information. Really need more data points, though.
