I know pro sports players get sponsored by sport companies...
Do well-known Clarinetists get free reeds/ other equipments as well?

I know personally of two clarinetists who were given (then) new LeBlanc Concerto clarinets by Vito P, the CEO of G LeBlanc in Kenosha, WI (USA). Even though I also met Vito, I wasn't so lucky............

Buffet sends me brand new clarinets (A/Bb/Eb) every 2 years... I only keep them though if I like them better than my old set.
Just kidding!!!!
However... I think that like any other industry, the most influencial people will be endorsed by the companies because of their status.
If giving a set of clarinets to a pro gets them an endorsement which directly sells 100 clarinets, it was a great deal for the company!

I know Eddie Daniels plays on his signature "eddie daniels leblanc concerto II" Bb with his signature "eddie daniels rovner" ligature on his signature "eddie daniels" mouthpiece with signature "eddie daniels" reeds.
Hows that? lol.

There are also some top pros, even some of the world's most successful soloists, that pay for their clarinets/mouthpieces/reeds/etc. like any other clarinetist.
