I would never have imagined that the remaining pieces of a busted clarinet would still make a useful horn . . . some where around the house I have a real nice Vito plastic upper joint that I need to hunt up and put to good use.

There is a similar piece for clarinet and band called "Immer Kleiner" (always smaller) - I played it with a Community Band touring Germany a few years ago.

If the locally available stuff is junk, don't you just buy it from another country? As I do?
