So what do you do when you have all the joints pulled just a bit, which puts nearly all your notes nearly perfect (wavering only 1-2 cents) BUT, the entire right hand-upper register plays 15-25 cents flat? (B-C-D-E-F and all corresponding chromatics)
Even with every joint pushed together it's still 10-25 cents flat in that section, but it also throws everything else out of whack too.
The corresponding right-hand low notes are perfect when the upper register right hand notes are so very flat.
What do you suggest?

My first inclination would be to take it to a tech. Something seems really out of whack.

well a way to bring up ur pitch is to lift your eyebrows and keep in your corners tight. Do you point ur air stream? Do you have more air support in the upper registers.

what steve said - have a tech check it out.
this doesnt sound like an airstream issue, not based on what she described.
then perhaps a different mouthpiece.
what type of clarinet are you playing?
whats you mouthpiece and reed setup (brand, strength of reed, brand , model of mouthpiece)?

It seems to me there has to be a problem in the bore or shape of the right hand tone holes which are open...obviously the mouthpiece may well be the first choice as to suspicion...I would also try a few different facings and reeds and if the mouthpieces you try don't alleviate the problem... then see a technician.

This has to be asked: It is not a Chinese-made clarinet is it? If so, it could be basic acoustic design at fault.
Otherwise, take it to a technician as your next move.

It's not a CSO.
I tried the following mouthpieces yesterday:
Yamaha
Selmer Crystal
Fobes Debut
David Hite USA
David Hite J (?)
Vandoren
and a few others
None changed the pitch more than a few cents
I tried every barrel I had in the house and actually did get some change - I may need to get a much shorter barrel and then re-tune all the other notes accordingly. Does this sound normal? I would have thought the original barrel would be the right length, but the original is appx. 65 mm and the one barrel that brought the pitch of those notes closest was 57 mm.
A replacement barrel seems less intrusive than reaming tone holes, which was another solution I found in the archives.

Big bore mouthpiece and a narrow bore instrument ? or vice versa ?
It still might give the experts on this board a clue, if you told them the elements of your playing set up.
I appreciate Williams suggestion of swapping Bb and A lower joints. I've done this....there..... I've admitted it......it doesn't really explain all your problems though.
