Does anyone know anything about the origin of the clarinet polka? Such as composer, date of composition, background, history, etc?? Thanks, Jeanine

The Clarinet Polka is credited to Jan Dvoraky and Laurence Paul.

In the USA it was first published in 1940 by the Calumet Music Co, Chicago, Illinois.

Although it was published in the USA, many think that it may be based on an older traditional Polish tune...GBK

My Polish colleague claims that the real name is The Grandfather Polka.
