I posted a question about music software on 11/16/06. It was there at the top of the list as "new" that evening and when I came back today to check responses it was missing. I've looked through "older posts" and "search" and can't find it. I don't think there was anything inappropriate that would have been edited out. Any suggestions?

Questions such as this would be much better answered by direct mail to either GBK or myself. On most occasions if a post is deleted or edited the poster will be notified.
Searching for msk and selecting newest to oldest brought your post right back.

Best way to find your recent posts is just to search your name and sort newest to oldest. [edit: doh... mentioned above already]
The moderators here are pretty good. They will go to the trouble of editing out bad content and leave a post otherwise intact with a note as to why they took a portion out or locked a thread.
They even moderate bad logic and point out flaws in your arguements
