I am looking for software (in the under $100 price range) that will allow me to scan sheet music and transpose it to another key. It needs to be able to change time and key signatures in the middle of the piece and hopefully would allow me to edit mistakes. I searched the BB archives but found nothing more recent than 2003. I figure that there may have been changes since then. As far as learning the software, my computer skills are better than my music transposition skills. Thanks

I've found the Piano version of SmartScore ($99) satisfactory although I haven't tried changing time or key signatures in the middle of a piece.

Finale Printmusic 2007 does just that.
It's $69 at Lentine Music ( http://www.lentine.com/74919.htm?parentid=345 ) when in stock, slightly higher at Guitar Center.
