But usually I always take the same reed which I know by its specific colour/pattern. The others are just there for, uhm, well, for the day I'm not too lazy to throw them away. The one I leave on the mouthpiece is a decommissioned one marked with "X" - used only for protection. No, I do not rotate my "X" reeds. -- Ben
