 Pomarico Light Ligature

If you have tried the Pomarico Light Ligature, I would like your opinion, please. Do they work well? I've played on a Rovner for many years, but the Pomarico looks interesting...

The pomerico is a ligature that I used for a while, and still use as my backup. It really allows for crisp articulation (for me), and it just makes many reeds feel easier to play. It is worth a try...just take heed of what follows:

One thing that I would suggest though: if you purchase it and notice that it comes with silver interior, send it back. If the ligature you recieve looks like this, the only thing they added to the inside was duct tape, instead of the white lining that they used to. When the ligature is lined with this duct tape, it does not play to a satisfactory level, and is not worth the price.

Also, if it does have the white lining that I am referring to, re-glue after you decide to keep it. To do this, simple tear it off (slowly), and then use super-glue to reattach it. If you do not do this, the lining will start to drift up and down while you are playing.

If you can get it to work for you, the Pomarico Light Ligature is an excellent ligature, but another ligature I must recommend is the Bonade ligature. The bonade ligature does what the Pomarico did and so much more (for me).

I hope this helped,

My Setup:
R13 Clarinet (Ridenour Lyrique as my backup/marching instrument)
Walter Grabner K11 mouthpiece
Rico Reserve 3.5's
Bonade ligature
