This subject rears its head less often now that there is a new edition of the Clarinet Sonata; but I am still sometimes asked for the evidence that Poulenc revised the work for publication. (This revision is the reason for the small differences between the first edition and the MS that several French clarinettists were privy to.)
I have photocopies of the relevant bits of Poulenc's MS, so I thought I would post them here.
You can see where Poulenc has used correction fluid to obliterate a note and then written over it; this establishes the chronology of the disputed notes.
