I am just wondering if their are any companies or an organization that donates working clarinets to less fortunate children who are in desperate need. My son is in the Marching Band at Perryville High School and is currently (and has been since the 5th grade) playing a used and pretty abused clarinet from the instruments in the attic program. It has recently broke (has a leak) and repair on it estimates at approc 300.00. Being a single parent with a family of four and recent unfortunate happenings we have been pretty financially strapped. If anyone knows of such an organization or has an old working clarinet laying around they would like to donate to a very talented young man, please let me know. (the Perryville High School students recently won the Mid Atlantice and State title for maryland) Go Band! (i have attached a photo of him and a photo of the drum major & teacher with their state champ banner)

it is a school instrument from the instruments in the attic program, he has used it for 6 years and it is quite worn out, repair on it would cost over 300 and the school isn't willing to pay for it, i have asked several people at the school - thank you

I have a clarinet I can donate to your son. It's a hard-rubber Noblet, circa 1950, that's been recently repadded and adjusted. It plays fine and comes with a Vandoren B-45 mouthpiece which is custom fitted to the clarinet barrel. This clarinet has a history, having belonged to a member of the Bay State Band, whose name is carved in the bell.
I only wish that this horn be played. Contact me with your address.
