Apparently it is time for my son's Vito to become the "Designated Marching Band Horn".His teacher has suggested that he try out the Leblanc "LL" and "Noblet". We have pretty much exhausted the "in stock" (limited)inventory at the local shops and will have to travel a bit to check out some more clarinets. If anyone has any comment regarding the abovementioned instruments, or maybe others that should be checked out, please post on the BBoard. Thanks, Todd Holle

several of the instrument dealers like ww and bw... and others will send one, two or even three horns to you for a 10 day period as long as they have a credit card number and validation from you....and you will be paying the shipping on them... but they may be able to ehelp you alot...
good luck...Mike

The Noblet is a very nice intermediate instrument. There are actually two models of this, the Noblet 40 and the Noblet 45.
The LL is a fine professional level instrument and has been around for many years.
I've heard good reports about the Sonata also (it's basically in between the Noblet and LL).
You can read up on them and their differences at the Leblanc website: www.gleblanc.com

I believe that just leaving a vito clarinet that the Leblanc Sonata would be a top choice instrument for your son. If you are willing to put out all the money to buy the Leblanc LL you might want to consider the Buffet R-13. I would give the woodwinds and the brasswind a call at 1-800-348-5003 -or- www.wwanbbw.com and recomend a catolog. you could also recommend a catolog from weiner music. I do not have a phone number but ask around someone is bound to know. This should make you have a wider view of all the instruments that could be good for your son!!
Sincerely,
Stephen

There is a list of reputable mail-order dealers if you wish to purchase a clarinet by that method in the Resources/Retail section here on Sneezy.

Thank you all for the ideas, and 'phone numbers. I've been wondering for some time about the difference between intermediate and professional level clarinets; this will be a good time to find out!
