I have that recording too and his playing on that is amazing. He jumps between the registers and all over the place and it just sounds like a walk in the park. I love his playing. Why doesn't anyone sound like this anymore?

Harold Wright was one if not the best examples of a clarinet artist who plays the double lip embouchre. I was lucky enought to hear Mr. Wright
play a live recital at the National Clarinet Clinic/Univ. Denver in the early 1960's when he was the principal in the Washington Nat'l Sym. One never forgets the beautiful sound of HW........never. I have since acquired a good number of his CD's during his tenure with the Boston Sym. Please check out his Brahm sonata recordings..........they are the greatist! He was also a true gentleman......down to earth individual.
